As a graduate research assistant, I conducted the geospatial analysis behind my master’s thesis on large wildfire patterns in the wildland-urban interface (WUI) of the eastern United States. The work paired spatial pattern analysis with land-use data to support emergency management decision-making.
- Analyzed spatial patterns of large wildfires across the eastern U.S. WUI.
- Combined land-use, population, and fire data to assess community and regional risk.
- Delivered reproducible analyses and presented findings at national conferences.
